Does Grow a Garden Pets work offline?
Do pets work offline?
Generally, pets do not work offline. Their effect is only active when you are in the garden, unless their ability provides a passive bonus such as making fruits larger. Fruits will continue to grow offline, so you’ll get bigger crops even if the active effect isn’t working.
This doesn’t count animals like cats, which have to actively lie down within a certain radius to grow fruit.
Basically pets can’t ‘do’ anything while you’re offline, so only passive effects matter.
What can you do to maintain influence?
If you want to continue benefiting from the pet’s abilities but are not interested in actively playing, there is a fairly simple solution. Just be AFK and do something else. Be sure to scrub your game from time to time to prevent the game from booting you out.
Many pets like the Mole will continue to add money and equipment to your inventory, while others like the Moon Cat will continue to polish your crops. You can also get information about some valuable meteorological phenomena.
Keep in mind that seed-digging pets may deposit seeds on the floor, and they will germinate in 30 seconds if not picked up. They will crawl towards you after spawning, but may not reach you before they spawn, so we can’t recommend going AFK if you’re looking for seeds.
