Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is finally coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this year

final fantasy vii rebirth That’s finally coming to more players, as the game made a very welcome appearance in today’s Nintendo Direct, and what great timing, considering that the first part of the remake trilogy finally landed on Nintendo Switch last month.

If you haven’t played Rebirth yet, as you’ve been waiting for it to arrive for Nintendo Switch 2, it once again follows your favorite FFVII characters as you get to see Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, Yuffie and Red in the next part of their adventure, with plenty for you to do as you experience a truly spectacular story.

The combat is excellent and a lot of fun, although it can pose a bit of a challenge at times. Then there’s the world itself, which is nothing short of amazing – I’m a big fan of the Costa del Sol myself. It’s great to see this ragtag group getting a chance to relax on the beach.

Even better news is that you don’t have to wait too long, as Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3, 2026, which means that’s just a few months away. You should take this as a sign to work your way through the first part, which our editor Ruby gave a big score of 10/10 in her Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade review.
