Australian studio Halfbrick has laid off an undisclosed number of employees as part of internal restructuring efforts, citing ongoing challenges in the games industry.

In a statement shared on LinkedinThe Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride developer said it is making changes to its team structure, including role redundancies in Australia and the conclusion of several international commitments.

Halfbrick wrote, “This was not a decision we made lightly. Like many studios, we are going through a challenging time for the games industry, and we have to make some tough choices about how to move forward.” “These changes are driven by organizational and strategic priorities, not individual performance.”
