Once again, we are invited into a dark and vampire world Castlevania 40th Anniversary This year. We’ll definitely see plenty of announcements, but we’re already thankful for a new game confirmed for release on the Nintendo Switch.
Castlevania: Curse of Belmont Found surprise announcement Recently at Sony State of Play, but the new website went live on Friday the 13th. The game is scheduled to be released in 2026, and will come to Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. We’re also looking forward to a Switch 2 version that will really make it shine.
The new game Castlevania: Dracula’s Curse takes place 23 years after Dracula’s Curse in 1499 – this time in Paris. In it, you play as Trevor Belmont’s successor and you must save Paris from the coming destruction. The game is a 2D action-exploration title created by the teams Konami, Evil Empire and Motion Twin.
“This year marks the 40th anniversary of the original ‘Akumazo Dracula’ first coming to light”, reads the renovated Castlevania site (haha, like vampires, get it?). “In this memorial year, ‘Castlevania’ will be revived”.
We are definitely looking forward to it. Additionally, the site promises that this is “the beginning” of new products focused on the franchise. Ports, remakes, fresh titles, anime series, life-size plushes of Dracula – whatever comes out, it’s going to be cool.
