Dispatch dev says players are “right to be angry” at Nintendo censorship – IGN Daily Fix

In today’s Daily Fix:

Developer Adhoc Studios has released a statement addressing the censorship controversy surrounding the Switch 2 port of Dispatch. Adhoc is taking responsibility for the outcry, saying that their game failed to meet certain Nintendo guidelines, and it was their responsibility to better convey the message that the Switch 2 port was replaced by the PS5 and Steam versions. Adhoc is working with Nintendo to resolve this issue, but if any changes do occur it could take several weeks for changes to be made to the game. In other news, Nioh 3 may be making its way to the Switch 2 and Xbox Series consoles, marking the first time that the franchise has ended up on a non-Sony console. A new trailer for the game specifies that it’s a PS5 console exclusive for six months, though there’s no official word on whether other ports are coming. And finally, a video game music remix won a Grammy last night over EGOT-holder Cynthia Erivo. 8-Bit Big Band’s Super Mario Prize Break won the award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals. Another gaming win went to composer Austin Wintry, who won for the soundtrack to Sword of the Sea.
