In today’s Daily Fix:
Elon Musk has set an ambitious goal for his XAI studio to create a “great” AI-generated game by the end of next year. XAI is the Musk-owned company behind Grok, a chatbot built into X (formerly Twitter). AI-generated games are nothing new, but until now their scope has been limited. Game industry experts, such as Epic’s Tim Sweeney, are optimistic on the technology, claiming that AI signals could eventually be used to create games in the realm of Nintendo’s Zelda games. Speaking of Nintendo, the company released an animated short film today that features a child chasing Peacemaker. It doesn’t appear to be connected to any existing Nintendo IP, so it’s a bit of a mystery as to why it was created. And finally, the Predator is returning to Call of Duty as part of Black Ops 6’s “The Haunting” seasonal event. This coincides with the release of the latest Predator, Predator: Badlands, which recently earned a PG-13 rating.
