Being based on a hit anime and manga series, Kaiju No. 8 The Game has never been short on new content. And as they celebrate their half anniversary, the folks at Akatsuki Games have introduced a brand new story chapter and character that is set to change the overall dynamic.
It is a universally accepted fact that any shonen series, if it runs long enough, will get a major makeover to its characters. And in Kaiju No. 8, he arrives as the new Closer Suit, starting with the five-star character [New Possibilities] Soshiro Hoshina.
This is followed by Chapter Nine of the story, in which, following a battle with the Kaiju attacking Dubai, Closer scientist Suited (yes, that’s really his name) is seen designing a series of costumes for members of the Defense Force to wear.
But he’s got a new jacket!
Yes, it’s a bit of a weird way to get another character, but that energy-absorbing Haori jacket is undeniably adorable. And Soshiro is equipped with a brand new weapon, the Shuriken, as well as his optimal twin swords. Be sure to take a look at our Kaiju No. 8 The Game tier list to see where he might end up!
