Tower defense has been an icon of mobile for years. Relying only on simple controls and forward planning, it fits the platform perfectly, so it’s no surprise that the Kingdom Rush series has proven extremely popular as a result. Now, the biggest entry so far has been announced in the form of Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis.
Announced earlier today, Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis is set for release on iOS, Android, and Steam, and big things are promised for the series. However, one thing is guaranteed to not change, as you once again attack and drive back Veznan’s armies with the help of towers and heroes.
What else is coming? Expect new heroes, reimagined locations, and other such additions to the series. At the moment, Ironhide Studios is being a little coy about what exactly it will include, but it looks like we can expect this entry to be even bigger and better than before.
It’s certainly been some big years for Kingdom Rush as a franchise. On PC, Kingdom Rush 5 made a huge splash on Steam China, as well as launching simultaneously on Google Play and Play Pass. With that in mind, it’s easy to expect big things from Kingdom Rush 6.
When will we actually see it? It’s unclear, as this is one of the details that Ironhide’s guys are being careful about in their announcement. But I bet we might see it sometime this year, if not eventually.
