In today’s Daily Fix:
Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released later this year (or so we’re assured by publisher Take-Two), but no actual launch details have been revealed. Many fans want to know if they’ll be able to see a physical version of the game at launch, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is now saying that a digital-only launch is ‘not the plan.’ Although it is not explicitly stated that disc versions will be available, it leaves the door open to interpretation. In other news, Overwatch 2 had a big spotlight stream where developer Blizzard outlined the changes coming to the hero shooter. Most notably, the game will drop the ‘2’ from the title and will be known as ‘Overwatch’. A new story-focused era is coming, which will last for a year, and several new characters have been announced. And finally, a new Nintendo Direct, this one focused on their third-party partners, will launch tomorrow at 6am Pacific time.
