Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic director says it will launch before 2030 – IGN Daily Fix

In today’s Daily Fix:

Recently announced Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic director Casey Hudson is assuring fans that the game will be released before 2030. This comes as some people on social media are speculating that the game won’t be finished by the time Hudson’s new studio was built just last summer, and that’s not too hard to guess considering the long development times of triple-A games these days. There’s also the KOTOR remake, which was announced in 2021 and appears to be stuck in development hell ever since. In other news, Larian Studios has released a new update for the console versions of Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game is now optimized for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles as well as Nintendo Switch 2. The next game in the series, titled Divinity, was recently announced at the Game of the Week Awards. Speaking of other things, Phantom Blade Zero made a splash at The Game Awards with a new trailer, but if you’re an Xbox or Nintendo fan, don’t expect the game to launch alongside the PS5 version. Phantom Blade Zero has been a PS5 exclusive for at least a year.
